For those of you who are looking to improve your swim times, or just some friendly faces to swim with, Buckeye Masters will be starting tomorrow, June 16 from 6:30-8:00. Dues for the summer session are $10. If you have a pass to RPAC, that's all you'll have to pay. If you do not have a pass to RPAC, but want to join, you have several options for entrance: pay per visit ($10), buy a group of passes (cost varies), or buy a pass for the summer session (details: http://www.recsports.osu.edu/membership_pricing.asp) To enter with any of those options, you will need a sponsor, which is no problem at all, just let me know if you'll be coming and I'll put you in contact with someone who can help.
Good luck to those of you who are participating in the Wendy's triathlon this Sunday. If you aren't racing, consider helping out with the event. Contact melryan1029@yahoo.com for more information.
Next Monday will be the next COTT Clinic, Open Water Swimming, and we will do it in conjunction with the Monday night swim. However, the swim will MOVE TO ALUM CREEK for next week only. If you want to get a swim in before the clinic, meet at the Alum Creek Beach at 6:00; the clinic will begin at 7:00. Lauren Vallee will be leading the clinic and talking about spotting, turning, entering and exiting the water, and other priceless open water swim strategies. Lauren led this clinic last year as well and both newbies and seasoned triathletes will benefit from attending. Please RSVP to steph_harless@yahoo.com by Friday at 5:00 pm.
Don't miss the COTT Newbie Clinic this Sunday. You don't have to be new to the sport to attend. If you want to get some practice running in and out of transition, changing a flat, or want a refresher on USAT rules, please join us at Alum Creek at 9:00AM on Sunday morning. Please RSVP to by Thursday afternoon at 5:00PM.
