COTT has four bike boxes available for rental to club members. The rental rate is $10 per case. Advance reservations and payment required (see below for details).

This valence-style travel case is built like a suitcase. It has a full-length hinge for easy opening and loading. There are three flush mounted latches as well as two additional latches to assure positive secure closure. One of the latches is pad-lockable.
Rolling the case is easy with the four removable 2" casters. Custom skid plates replace the casters when removed for a smooth sliding surface. There are also a pair of recessed edge casters on one end, with a steel spring loaded handle on the opposite end for maneuvering after removing the four bottom casters prior to airline travel. Two pair of suitcase handles allow for easy lifting of the case if necessary.
Inside each case is foam to protect the bike and wheels. Additionally, a smaller piece of foam is included for placing between the bike wheel overlap. Internal D-rings and adjustable straps are mounted to secure the contents within the two halves of the case.
Once your bike is in position and strapped down, there won't be any internal shifting of the bike and wheels.
